TheBody is looking for pitches for the 50th anniversary of hip-hop and its role in shaping the narrative around HIV. The due date for pitches is Monday, July 24, and my email is mperez@thebody.com.

We are looking to write about how hip-hop changed the narrative of HIV, and how some artists used their platform to promote awareness. Was there a moment in hip-hop history that you remember that was significant in the HIV activism movement?

Did any artists or songs help you cope with your diagnosis or any hard times? Is there an artist or a song today that promotes sexual health today that deserve their flowers, and how are they making an impact on the HIV community and/or the LGBTQ community?

Rates start at $400. Feel free to email me with any questions, ideas, or pitches you have!
