Richard Croasdale, Editor of Glug Magazine, is looking for pitches:
We're looking for writers—established and brand new—to pitch us their most creative ideas around wine: drinking it, loving it, eating with it, travelling for it, making it.
We're especially keen to hear from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic writers, writers from the LGBTQIA+ community and writers who are often left out of wine conversations.
We pay our writers 23p per word to be exact.
Before you hit send...
- Is your story a winery profile? If so, it's less likely to be accepted (we generally have plenty).
- We cannot accept advertorials or listicles.
To pitch, send a one-paragraph synopsis to richard@beer52.com.

TO HELP YOU CRAFT YOUR PITCH:

- Read through its selection of recent articles/stories, categorized into: Pairings, Knowledge, Culture, Winemakers
- Check out our collection of pitch excerpts on this page and find more sample pitches at The Open Notebook and at SuccessfulPitches.com.
- Do not forget to end your pitch with (1) a short introduction about yourself; (2) a few lines highlighting your writing experience, relevant credentials and publication credits; and (3) links to your strongest work or portfolio, and online profile.
