Writer wanted (consumer tech) | up to ~23 cents per word

PCMag.com is seeking a freelance news writer to contribute to our weekday news coverage.
Demonstrated experience writing clean and compelling tech-focused news and working in a CMS and news-discovery tools is a must.
You must have strong news judgment and be able to identify the most important stories of the day, as well as find fun, audience-driving topics for slower days. Ideally, you have familiarity with the PCMag brand and what we’re all about.
Rate: $70 per story (Each story would be at least 300 words)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience writing consumer tech news for a digital publication
- Ability to determine trending technology topics and use news-discovery tools
- Ability to write quickly and clearly, as well as the ability to write compelling headlines and decks to draw readers in.
- Effective communicator
- Comfortable with image procurement and producing stories in a CMS
- Based in the US, UK, Canada, or Australia
