Deadline: 7 August 2023
MIT Technology Review is at the beginning stages of planning its January/February issue. We are looking for articles on the theme of breakthroughs. These will go in the feature well of the magazine, so we’re looking for big swings: narrative features, essential profiles, investigations, and sharp essays about recent and ongoing breakthroughs.
The pitch deadline is Monday August 7. Article drafts would be due in late September/early October.
If you have an idea that you think might be a good fit—or have any questions—please send me and Allison (cc’d here) a note. And if you haven’t seen it before, please have a look at our pitch guide before you do so. It includes general pitching advice, word rates, and other helpful details.
Rates: $1-2/word.
