Unbound is looking for essays for One in Five—an anthology about the realities of living in poverty. They are particularly keen to hear from writers of colour.
We’re looking to select three essays of 2,000-3,000 words each to go in the anthology and will pay each author £200. You’ll retain rights to your work and can publish it elsewhere after first publication. The deadline to submit to us is 15 September.
As much as we’d like to include everyone’s story - because poverty doesn’t have a single voice, we can only select three pieces so please don’t be disheartened if yours isn’t selected. If you would prefer not to write a piece as we cannot guarantee publication to all the pieces we receive, we completely understand.
