Call for op-eds! We are still looking for a community contributor to write about their perspective on the race for the City Council District 2, which represents the CID and much of South Seattle. We are specifically looking for a writer who supports the campaign of Tanya Woo.

A writer who supports Council member Tammy Morales has already been obtained. The piece should answer: Why do you support your candidate, and why are they the only choice to represent the Chinatown International District?

Ideally, we’re looking for perspectives from local stakeholders with a demonstrated history of civic engagement, a strong connection to the Chinatown International District, and a vested interest in its future.

Deadline for pieces is Sept. 1, 2023. This is a paid opportunity. Please email editor@iexaminer.org with a short paragraph of interest.

Rate: $100 for a piece.
