For The Maple’s Missed Information series, I’m looking to run an article by a member of a group whose country of origin has been targeted in the “foreign interference” obsession (such as China or Russia) about how the witch hunt has impacted them/their community. Reach out if interested.

There has been some discussion about how portrayals of COVID led to dangers for Chinese people in Canada, but I’ve seen almost no published discussion of how racist tropes in the media/political obsession with foreign interference poses dangers as well.

We pay a flat rate of $130 CAD for shorter opinion pieces (700 to 1200 words) and $325 CAD for more in-depth analysis articles (1500 to 2000 words).
