Quest users only - this is sick!!! (in a good way)
Added 2024-07-31 20:04:47 +0000 UTCSo i got a good deal on a meta quest 3 this weekend. I currently develop my models a Pimax Crystal, but it's heavy and after a few 30 or 40 minutes started to get neck pain.
Quest 3 is awesome, especially the pass through. I can actually have my models in my room with me, life size. Or I can shrink them and put them on my desk.
For those who have a quest 3. You need to follow these steps.
You need Virt-a-Mate (VAM)
you need a Quest 3
you need virtual desktop for the quest
also need this plugin

just load the plugin in the session plugins on VAM and change the colour to 67, 110, 67
then load virtual desktop on your quest and go to the streaming TAB on the left,
under VR Passthrough turn the environment on the click on configure.
chnage the setting as follows,
Similarity: 5%
Smoothness: 0%
Color: 67, 110, 67
start VAM from Virtual Desktop with a batch file like this to bypass SteamVR (FPS gain):
"C:\Program Files\Virtual Desktop Streamer\VirtualDesktop.Streamer.exe" "F:\VR\Clean\VaM.exe"
Replace your path to VAM accordingly.

had the same problem at first, try changing the values for colour slightly. see if it makes a difference, that's what worked for me. Color: 67, 110, 67
