Nick Dowson, Co-Editor at New Internationalist, is looking for pitches:

Pleased to announce I'm now editing a new comment slot for New Internationalist's print magazine.
Are you a sparky writer with original ideas in line with our progressive internationalist politics? If so please read on!

I'm looking for hard hitting pieces of writing, making original political contributions in up to 1,500 words. How do we tackle decolonise the international economic system? How do we fight the far right? How can we build better movements across borders?

I'm looking for pitches on questions like these and on the issues that are the core of our magazine: inequality, democracy, corporate power and Big Tech, climate change and environmental injustice, the oppression and dispossession of Indigenous and other groups.

Worth giving the magazine a read to find out what we are about, and bearing in mind that our lead in times are long - months - so pieces will need to stay relevant long term.

They also need to be well written and researched: I'm not looking for quick n dirty web contributions

I'm particularly keen to hear from those whose voices are often under-represented in Western media.
