We are looking for an experienced scriptwriter for our new YouTube channel.

This role requires creating engaging scripts for videos focusing on historic events, military equipment and special vehicles (short documentary, explanatory style combined with professional custom 3D animations). The ideal candidate would be well-versed in YouTube script writing techniques, able to captivate viewers (hooking and rehooking the viewer constantly), and simplify complex concepts.

Some examples of other YouTube channels that will be similar to ours:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Scripts are usually minimum 8 minutes long, max. 20 minutes.
Conduct thorough research for about 1 script per week.
Collaborate closely with the production team for script-video alignment.

REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to simplify complex topics.
Ability to do thorough research on complex historic / military topics.
Strong script writing portfolio.
Proficiency in YouTube audience engagement.
Sourcing relevant material for content. Think of historic press archives and other unique sources.
Relevant degree or 3+ years of experience.
Quick response time for production schedules.
Being able to incorporate humor and jokes in a script.
Would be nice if you have an interest or passion in engineering, historic events or military equipment.
