Remote Copywriter wanted (child welfare) | $50 per hour (part-time)

COMPANY/PUBLICATION: THINK OF US

We are looking for a part-time, contracted copywriter to bring our brand to life across channels including our grants, blogs, OpEds, and beyond. We're looking to have this person join our work immediately and work with us through the end of year, with possibility of continuing into the new year.

This contractor must be exceptional at producing high-quality work when the pressure is on and deadlines are tight. The nature of our work means we see opportunities for impact and run towards them with gusto, so priorities can shift quickly and our writer will need to keep up and enjoy the process! We’re primarily seeking a strong writer and editor who can meet deadlines across a wide range of communications challenges – grants, social media posts, web content, op-eds, etc.

A commitment to our mission and understanding of systemic, structural racism and inequity in foster care and beyond is a must!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Writing and editing long-form pieces such as grant applications and op-eds (including potentially ghost writing for TOU leadership)
• Writing short-form, punchy copy as needed

CONTRACT DETAILS

• Contract to begin ASAP and run through end of 2023
• Approx 15 hours per week at $50/hr with the full-contract not to exceed $10k
• Additional work outside of the agreed upon 15 hours should be discussed and approved, in writing, ahead of time
