Pitches wanted (nonfiction pieces, articles, book reviews, etc.) | $100 to $350 per piece
Added 2023-10-25 18:49:11 +0000 UTCCOMPANY/PUBLICATION: THE RAUCH REVIEW
Deadline: 15 December 2023
Joseph Rauch, Founder of The Rauch Review, is looking for pitches:
I am developing a brand publication and literary journal called The Rauch Review and I am looking for freelance writers who can pitch and submit short creative nonfiction pieces, as well as short fiction and poetry. Additionally, writers are welcome to pitch article ideas about writing, storytelling, being an author, etc. I have brand guideline documents that explain more. I also need help writing long-form book review articles of literary fiction books, memoirs and political nonfiction books. There is a book review template I can provide. Knowledge of SEO and experience working as an SEO content specialist is a plus.
People will most likely be more comfortable with my publication if they have leftist political views, or at least an open mind. I don't want to work with people who become upset over political disagreements. Regardless of how people label themselves politically, I'm not going to platform any opinions I perceive to be pro-war or pro status quo." We have a preference for contributors with anti-establishment political views, but we don't care about any other type of identity or location.
My preference is to pay per piece, but I can negotiate per word and per hour if the rate fits my budget. $100-350 per piece, depending on experience, portfolio strength, piece length and research time required for that piece.
