RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Research and identify potential grant funding opportunities
• Develop and write grant proposals, including budgets and supporting documentation
• Collaborate with program staff to gather information and data for proposals
• Edit and proofread grant proposals for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to guidelines
• Maintain a database of grant opportunities, deadlines, and submission requirements
• Monitor and track the progress of submitted grants and report on outcomes
• Stay informed about current trends and best practices in grant writing and fundraising

EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience in grant writing, preferably in the non-profit sector
• Strong research skills to identify relevant funding sources
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to write clear, compelling, and persuasive proposals
• Proficiency in budgeting and financial analysis for grant proposals
• Familiarity with program development concepts and strategies
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and strong proofreading skills
• Knowledge of technical writing principles

SKILLS:

• Budgeting: Experience creating budgets for grant proposals
• Databases: Ability to maintain a database of grant opportunities and track progress
• Editing: Strong editing skills to ensure accuracy and clarity in grant proposals
• Program development: Understanding of program development concepts for proposal development
• Grant writing: Proven experience in writing successful grant proposals
• Research: Ability to research potential funding sources and gather relevant information for proposals
• Proposal writing: Proficient in crafting compelling grant proposals that meet funder requirements
• Fundraising: Knowledge of fundraising strategies and techniques for securing grants
• Technical writing: Ability to write clear, concise, and technically accurate grant proposals
• Proofreading: Strong attention to detail for proofreading grant proposals
