Pitches wanted (golf) | $150-$200 per article

COMPANY/PUBLICATION: MATADOR NETWORK

Matador is interested in covering more golf and golf-related stories, and are seeking pitches from experienced golf writers.

We're open to a broad variety of story formats and angles, but before pitching, please take a look at Matador's Style Guide. The style guide also includes the types of stories we are not looking for (including family travel and hotel reviews). While we want writers to be knowledgable about golf, you don't need to be an expert golfer. We're always especially open to content from writers with unique or non-traditional perspectives.

We are not looking for golf-related gear or hotel pitches at this time, but everything else is fair game (pun intended).

TO APPLY:

• Please share examples of relevant past published work related to golf (3 - 4 URLs and/or a portfolio link)
• Please include a proposed headline and three or four sentences about the proposed story (the actual pitch)
• Please include your email address in the pitch

YOU DO NOT NEED TO INCLUDE:

• Proposed word counts or deadlines
• Your phone number
• Links to photos

Note that you can only submit one application, so if you're submitted multiple ideas, please separate them within the pitch.
