We’re looking for a REMOTE freelance entertainment writer to cover streaming shows/movies, theatrical releases, and premium cable content. You will be expected to have your finger on the pop culture pulse, paying specific attention to the intersection between culture/trending topics and new releases.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Write 2-4 articles weekly (600 — 1200 words) based on approved pitches or assignments from an editor
- Articles will consist of listicles, features, recaps, ending breakdowns, thematic analyses, unique perspectives, unpopular opinions, and fresh angles to legacy content
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years experience writing for a major digital publication with a portfolio of work to speak to your expertise
- Basic understanding of SEO best practices and WordPress
- A unique and identifiable voice (preferably with an existing or budding social media presence)
