In 2024, Crash Course is preparing to develop series on Political Theory and Sex Ed -- plus more series to be announced! We're looking for several versatile freelance script writers with experience crafting accessible and engaging nonfiction copy.
We are ideally looking for freelance script writers that can support projects for several months at a time, scripting 8-12 episodes. But we will also consider hiring some back-up writers interested in one-off writing assignments.
As a freelance script writer, you'll be asked to work with a subject matter expert and editor to write research-based episodes for Crash Course. We're looking for writers with a background in journalism, the humanities, and/or educational media. If you have experience writing to match a particular voice, that's a plus!
