Print submissions for our 2024 release, Issue V, are now open! There is no theme requirement—just send us your best work. As usual, we will review both pitches and full drafts. Once again, where relevant, all guidelines for standard submissions apply, so please review and adhere to the general and online submission guidelines on this page.

Note that at present, we are only seeking critical essays, poetry, and illustrator portfolios for Issue V. Please don’t submit reviews, interviews, or fiction for print.

There is no fixed deadline for submissions—the call will remain open until all slots are filled. We will give advance notice of the closure date so that last-minute submissions can still be sent. However, it is to your advantage to submit as soon as possible.

• Critical Essays: $400
• Poetry: $60 per poem
• Illustration: Project-specific
