Wealth of Geeks is looking for US-based freelance personal finance writers to cover side hustles, investing, and ways to make money.

Applicants must have prior experience covering personal finance topics.

We are looking for writers with a sense of humor who can make personal finance fun.

The starting rate is $.20 a word.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is a remote contract position for a Freelance Writer (Journalist) at Wealth of Geeks. As a Freelance Writer, you will generate engaging and informative content on various topics, including finance, side hustles, investing, and retirement. Your tasks will include researching, conducting interviews, writing articles, editing and proofreading, and ensuring content meets quality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
• Strong research skills
• Good understanding of finance.
• Experience in journalism or related field
• Familiarity with SEO best practices
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Flexibility and adaptability
• Strong communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field (preferred)
