Jefferey Spivey, Editor at PRB+ Magazine, is looking for submissions:

I’m looking for articles for the June and July issues of PRB+, a trade magazine focused on the parks, recreation, and camp industries. I can accept up to 3 submissions from freelancers per issue, at $400/article.

June is about DESIGN (deadline: March 8) – aquatics and accessibility, extreme and action sports, playground design and landscaping, and sports field maintenance.

July’s focus is WATERPARKS (deadline: April 5) –– waterparks and spraygrounds, festivals and amphitheaters, preserves and nature centers, and golf courses.

Angles can cover essentially anything in these categories as long as they’re posing a question about a common issue in parks, recreation, or camps, and then providing a tangible answer. Our articles are practical and solutions-focused; they typically run about 1200 words and have a plainspoken yet journalistic tone. Pieces should have a minimum of three sources. If those sources can provide hi-res images, even better! We don’t accept simultaneous submissions or reprints. Check out past articles at prbplus.com.

No hard qualifications here but it'd be ideal if submitting writers have some experience writing about parks and recreation, camps, or other outdoor industries. This can be remote, as long as writers can access the sources they need.
