Seth Sommerfeld, Editor at The Inlander, is looking for pitches:

I am open to freelance TV and Video Game writing pitches for our Screen section. Most of the time the space for the stories is 650-800 words. Looking for reviewers and/or essayists. Things could range from single video game reviews, theme pieces, previews (like the most anticipated games/shows of the summer), etc. If things have a local-ish Inland Northwest tie-in that's all the better. Enjoy the super weird and creative story ideas.

Reviews are typically paid $60. Essay/roundups are 15 cents per word, so usually $100-$120 per piece. I fully understand that's not a lot, but we're an independent alt-weekly so we do what we can to get by. We only have two Screen spots per week in the issue, and most go to movie reviews, so this wouldn't be a hyper-regular work.
