Remote Grant Writer wanted | $75+ per hour

Our goal is to teach singing and other musical skills to children ages 5-18 in several San Francisco Bay Area counties. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Voena offers our programs to as many children as possible through a no-audition policy and scholarships. We strive for a diverse mix of participants to support our mission of "Uniting the world with children's voices".

We're looking for a creative, passionate and dedicated individual who has proven success in researching, writing and obtaining grants, preferably for the performing arts and/or children's education sectors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the grant-writing realm and will develop, guide and implement the process in our organization. This person lives in or near the San Francisco Bay Area and is familiar with local companies. He or she is able to work independently and call upon company subject matter experts as needed for specific information to achieve optimal results. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a working knowledge of VOENA's history, goals, programs and accomplishments for appropriate inclusion into proposals
• Develop an annual grant plan to support VOENA's artistic objectives and financial needs
• Research and recommend grant opportunities that are a fit with VOENA's mission and goals
• Write and submit compelling grant proposals in accordance with funders' instructions and timeline
• Track status of grant proposals and awards and organize documentation
• Compose and send customized thank you letters to funders
• Cultivate positive ongoing relationships with organizations and funders
