Added 2024-06-06 20:08:34 +0000 UTCCOMPANY/PUBLICATION: APARTMENT THERAPY
Deadline: 7 June 2024
Collette Reitz, Special Projects Editor at Apartment Therapy, is looking for pitches:
Apartment Therapy wants to highlight homes in the coolest towns across America! We want to hear from freelancers who live outside of major cities and would like to write about how their local areas have impacted their style/home.
We're looking for personal essays that tell the story of how your town has impacted your home and style.
Did you incorporate local items or art into your home’s design?
Is your kitchen/living room/bedroom aesthetic inspired by local geography or a local destination, like a restaurant, bar, or park you love?
Have you done a deep dive into your town’s history and how your home plays a role?
Did you “town tour” to check out the design/vibe/layout of different cities before you settled where you are?
Do you love a unique house style in your community (whether or not you live in it) and want to write an ode to it?
Have you designed your own yard or garden based on your town’s landscape?
If any of the above resonates with you or gets you brainstorming related ideas, please pitch us here with a story about your home that you think would be a fit for Apartment Therapy! If you have any questions, please reach out to collette.reitz@apartmenttherapy.com.
Rates start at $350.
We are accepting pitches through Friday, June 7.
