Remote UX Writer wanted | $70 per hour

PROJECT SUMMARY

We have an immediate need for a skilled UX Writer to bring their expertise to our design and product teams to help craft engaging, intuitive, and user-friendly experiences across our digital platform. As the sole UX Writer, you will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and compelling copy that guides users through our products while maintaining consistency in tone, voice, and brand messaging. You are an advocate for design, creating intuitive, delightful product experiences that help users accomplish their goals.

This project will be managed by the Senior Manager of Copywriting in the Brand Design Department. Our design division includes both brand and product design teams, both of which report to the VP of Design, but does not currently have a UX Writer function. With our product and organization experiencing rapid growth over the past year, we are urgently seeking an experienced professional who can fill this need and commence work with a comprehensive audit.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Conduct Comprehensive Audit

  • Immediate assessment of current copy, messaging, and style across our platform and its touchpoints

  • Identify areas for improvement and optimization in line with brand guidelines and user experience best practices

  • Prioritize tasks and initiatives based on impact and urgency

• Immediate Start and Collaboration

  • Begin work promptly to address pressing needs and opportunities identified by our Sr Manager of Copywriting: areas may include AI products, Trial and Onboarding, and .com

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, product, marketing, and engineering to align on goals and strategies

  • Proactively identify pain points, propose solutions, and determine the optimal path forward to optimize user experiences as our products are developed and launched

  • Drive projects forward with a sense of urgency while maintaining quality and attention to detail

• Write and Edit User Interface Copy

  • Craft engaging and intuitive user interface copy, spanning microcopy, error messages, notifications, and onboarding flows

  • Ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to brand voice, tone, and style guidelines across all touchpoints

• User-Centered Design Principles

  • Iterate content based on user feedback and data insights to continuously improve usability and satisfaction

  • Advocate for the user, identifying pain points and opportunities for enhancement in collaboration with cross-functional teams

  • Conduct user research by partnering with our in-house UX researcher and other stakeholders through interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights that inform content decisions

• Coordinate with Localization Teams

  • Liaise with localization teams to adapt content for diverse languages and cultures

  • Ensure cultural nuances and regional preferences are considered in localized content delivery

• Presenting to Stakeholders

  • Present to key stakeholders to gather feedback and insights

  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills to convey design concepts effectively to stakeholders

PORTFOLIO

• A portfolio showcasing previous work, with a focus on writing for SAAS organizations, is preferred

CONTRACTOR STATUS

• This position is for an independent contractor and not an employee of Articulate. The contractor will work remotely using their own equipment. The contractor must comply with IRS guidelines for independent contractors and will be responsible for their own taxes.

Compensation will be provided at a rate of $70 per hour, invoiced monthly. As an independent contractor, you will not be eligible for company benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, or retirement plans.
