IDC Woodcraft is a CNC router tooling company specializing in helping individuals master CNC routing, providing guidance, tools, and resources for successful and meaningful CNC projects.
JOB OVERVIEW:
IDC Woodcraft is seeking a talented Content Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will create high-quality articles for the IDC Woodcraft website centered around commonly searched CNC-related subjects, develop engaging and value-driven emails, and write compelling product titles and descriptions. The content writer should have a knack for conversational writing, as well as engaging readers emotionally by understanding their underlying psychological needs as they relate to products. An understanding of marketing and use of AI is expected.
This position will work hand-in-hand with the relevant team members of IDC Woodcraft, including website development, media, and administrative personnel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Article Creation: Research and write high-quality, easy-to-read articles focused on CNC-related subjects exclusively for the IDC Woodcraft website. Ensure articles are informative, engaging, and optimized for SEO and GEO. Articles should include links to various products, videos, and services that will assist the reader in their journey. Wherever possible, these links should drive readers to revenue-generating items like IDC Woodcraft products, affiliate links, etc.
Editing and Posting: Edit and format articles in a standard, reasonable format that enhances readability and engagement.
Title and Content Development: Develop engaging titles and content that attract and retain readers’ attention. Incorporate appropriate imagery to complement the articles.
There will be a potential for growth in this position that could lead to various email marketing and writing of product descriptions in the future.
Collaborative Work: Work closely with the IDC Woodcraft marketing and product teams to ensure content aligns with overall brand strategy and goals.
Use of AI to generate initial article, description and email content is required, with a strong editing ability to refine AI outputs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven experience as a content writer, copywriter, or similar role.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Can write in a conversational tone.
Strong understanding of SEO and GSO principles and content optimization.
Ability to create engaging and emotionally resonant content.
Familiarity with CNC routing and other commonly used CNC equipment.
Strong research skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS) and basic image editing tools.
Use of Chat GPT and AI will be required.
Ability to create articles for web pages/blog including photos, images, links, etc.
