Writers wanted (business) | 12+ cents per word

COMPANY/PUBLICATION: FIRST FUNDERS

Two friends are doing a podcast in a business niche. We interview a friend about our business space and then discuss takeaways for practical use. (This is a legitimate business space, and we have 5 episodes we will share.)

I create the following collateral after we record:

• Newsletter (this summarizes our takeaways from the episode, usually 750-1000 words).

• Show notes for our podcast episode (150-200 words)

• LinkedIn post (150-200 words with CTA)

• Reddit post (length depends on the subreddit, usually 250+ words)

We also try to make 3-5 clips of <60 seconds for sharing on social media, like YouTube Shorts and Twitter/X. For this we want to follow best practices and make a description that is usually around 100-150 words.

I want someone to take over the content creation - I'm not a great writer and don't know all the best practices.

We are looking for a general+ writer who can listen to a one-hour-long podcast episode and take one page of notes from the hosts to create a newsletter. Hopefully, this newsletter can then be sliced and diced to make the other collateral — show notes, LinkedIn posts, Reddit posts, and video descriptions.

If you have experience writing for the following, you get bonus points, especially if you can provide a link / portfolio:

• podcast

• business / financial themes

• newsletter writing experience

• LinkedIn writing experience

• Reddit writing experience (please share your username or posts you've written for someone else)

• SEO (since the show notes, newsletter, and descriptions are indeed)

Please note we are not asking for creative writing. You're summarizing and reporting on a podcast/transcript.

THE PAY

You have to do research since we are asking you to listen to the podcast and videos. The base for this is $10 per episode.

From there, we will ask you to write posts and copy. This is a general+ position, so depending on your experience we will pay $0.12+/word.

We can pay using Venmo or PayPal. If there's another option that is popular on here, please let me know.
