Rosemary Donahue, Health and Parenting Editor at The Insider, is looking for pitches:
For the health and parenting section at Business Insider, we're looking for interesting personal stories about the following topics:
non-traditional ways of parenting, non-traditional relationships (sleeping in separate bedrooms, long-term relationships where you don't live together, etc.)
dating a coworker, age-gap relationships of all kinds (romantic but also having parents or siblings who are much older)
stories about money and relationships (being the breadwinner and how it affects your relationship, one person suddenly making a lot more money, an inheritance causing tension, etc)
parent-child relationship stories with an interesting angle
stories about baby boomers (boomers who feel like they'll never be able to retire, boomers who don't want to help with their grandkids, etc.)
If you have an interesting personal story and it doesn't fit in any of these topics, feel free to pitch anyway! Starting at $225 for around 600 words. Accepting new and international writers. Email pitches to rdonahue@businessinsider.com. Include relevant links if you have them, but not required. Use [Pitch: Proposed Headline] as the subject line of your email.
