PITCHING EX RESEARCH
EX Research is now accepting freelance pitches. We pay $200 for an 800-word article.
The best way to get an idea of what we’re interested in is to read the newsletter. Here are two additional prompts to get your creative juices pumping:
We’re interested in fun, funny, or weird articles about contemporary popular culture that you’d really love to write. The ideas that are just bursting out of your head that you probably wouldn’t pitch to a normal publication.
We’re interested in articles about where culture is headed – particularly as it relates to people doing new and interesting things in music, games, AI, film, internet media, and so on.
We want you to have a piece you really like at the end of this with a minimum of editorial rewriting. Expect a round or two of writer-friendly developmental edits to help get there. We don’t ever expect to kill an article after accepting a pitch, but if we do, we’ll pay you 25% of the agreed-upon rate.
