Rosemary Donahue, Health and Parenting Editor at The Insider, is looking for pitches:
If you have an interesting personal story that doesn't fit in any of these topics but still feels like it would fit in our vertical, feel free to pitch! Here's what we're currently looking for that's been resonating with our audience:
stories about older people being childless (and regretting or not regretting the decision not to have kids)
people having kids later in life
having or being an only child
dating a coworker
stories about money and relationships (being the breadwinner and how it affects your relationship
one person suddenly making a lot more money, an inheritance causing tension, etc.)
stories about longevity (lifestyle tips from centenarians in your family
trying a supplement routine for longevity, etc.)
stories from boomers about trying new/unexpected things later in life, non-traditional parenting
retiring early or deciding to come out of retirement
and any other interesting personal or relationship story related to health and/or parenting
Rates start at $225 for about 600 words. Open to new and international writers. Email at rdonahue@businessinsider.com. You can include relevant published links but if you don't have any, that's okay. Use [Pitch: Suggested headline] as the subject line of the email.
