We’re looking for a mission-aligned, enthusiastic Educational Content Writer to create high-quality curriculum delivered through the Ambition app. The ideal candidate will have a strong writing background and a passion for educational content. The primary responsibility of this role is to write career-related lessons for teens of color. The Educational Content Writer will collaborate closely with the CEO and our partners to ensure the content aligns with our educational goals and resonates with our audience. This position requires a strong commitment to producing engaging and effective curriculum content that empowers and educates our users.

WHAT IS AMBITION ANGELS?
Ambition Angels is a tech-based nonprofit committed to equipping all students, with a focus on Black and Brown students, with the skills, resources, support, and opportunities needed to thrive in all areas of their lives. We have a unique and nationally scalable model: instead of paying adults to develop teens, we reward teens for developing themselves, on an app on their phones. Ambition Angels offers a powerful model to engage and empower the next generation of teens of color.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Content Writing: Write well-researched, engaging, and impactful lessons related to different careers.
Content Editing: Edit curriculum content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with educational goals.
Curriculum Research: Conduct focused research to support curriculum development.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all lesson content is polished, error-free, and adheres to the company’s standards and guidelines.
Collaboration: Collaborate with the CEO and partners to refine and enhance curriculum materials.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BA/BS degree, preferably in English, Creative Writing, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in educational content writing, curriculum development, or a related field.
Exceptional writing skills with a strong command of language and clarity.
Strong critical-thinking, research, and problem-solving abilities.
Keen attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills.
Ability to work efficiently and independently, managing tasks with minimal supervision.
Proven ability to meet deadlines consistently.
Openness to feedback with the capacity to adapt and implement suggestions.
Experience and comfort using AI platforms for content creation.
Basic tech proficiency to navigate and utilize our custom curriculum website.
Contract Details: 40 hours/week, 6-month duration, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time employee.
Location: Remote.
Compensation: $6,000 - $7,500 per month for 6 months.
