YouTube Scriptwriter wanted (SEO, content marketing topics) | 10-15 cents per word

COMPANY/PUBLICATION: SURFER

Surfer is looking for an experienced and competent SEO YouTube scriptwriter who can write about SEO and content marketing. Pay is between 10-15 cents/word depending on how much editing your submission requires.

You should be able to commit to

• Writing 3-8 scripts per month for YouTube on SEO content

These will generally range between 1000-1500 words.

The scripts you write will often showcase our tools to solve common content and SEO challenges and require a genuine understanding of the topics you cover.

We’re looking for evidence of good SEO content writing and an all-around understanding of SEO concepts. Ideally, you are comfortable with keyword optimization, AI content, Google algorithms, and on-page SEO strategies.

This doesn’t mean you have to be an SEO expert. You do, however, have to be an expert at research. Being familiar with these concepts will help you find related content and make your job easier.

Here are a few channels to look at to understand the quality of writing we’re looking for. We're probably a good fit if you can envisage yourself fitting into any of these.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Strong SEO knowledge

• Native or near-native level English

• Comprehensive research skills

It is helpful but not essential to have experience with SEO tools like GSC, Semrush, Ahrefs, Answer the Public.

DEALBREAKERS

• Poor compliance with content guidelines, superficial writing, and SEO knowledge

• Inability to deliver work by deadlines
