FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Apex Cannabis Marketing is looking for experienced writers with SEO experience. Qualified candidates should possess the necessary skills to review/edit or write attention-grabbing, useful, high-quality, and original pieces related to cannabis industry trends, medical, recreational, and devices. Experience in the cannabis industry is a plus, but not mandatory. Writers will produce well-researched content on assigned topics. Article length ranges from 1,500 to 2,500 words. No AI-assisted writing; must be handwritten. Applicants should have a working knowledge of grammar software like Grammarly or Microsoft Editor. Only confident and creative writers should apply. We like it when your personality jumps off the page. We are not an academic or scientific platform. Our millions of readers are regular people who rely on our websites to find useful information related to cannabis. We’re regular people writing for regular people. You must also have experience writing for a US audience. Ideal candidates will have three years of experience writing in the consumer industry or related fields.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Create original content (1,500 – 2,500 words per article)
Update and use project management software
Source high-quality experts for quotes
Research new products and trends
Implement SEO writing techniques
Research long-tail keywords
Suggest image ideas
Grammar check written content
Follow the latest SEO updates and trends
QUALIFICATIONS
4 years of SEO content writing (required)
Proficiency in AHREFs, WordPress, SEO tools, and Google Docs preferred
Include recent writing samples with your CV and cover letter
Adaptive writing style based on client and content
PAY
$0.10 to $0.20 per word, depending on quality and experience. Expected hours: 20–40 per week.
