Lexi Inks, Editor in Chief of The Clique, is looking for pitches:

In preparation for our upcoming launch, I'd love a few more pitches for our Fashion and Career & Finance verticals on the clique! Rates start at $75/piece! Email your ideas to info@theclique.click

Word count: Trying to keep it at minimum 500, but word count is always flexible!

TWO IMPORTANT NOTES: 

• Due to some unforeseen complications, I can only accept pitches from writers located in the U.S. going forward. This may change in the future.

• Please do not follow up on your pitches. If I don't reply to you within a week, I am passing. 

SOME OVERALL NOTES ON PITCHES I’M RECEIVING: 

• Please Google to see if your idea/angle has already been covered a lot online! If it’s not a unique, interesting angle, I will pass on it.

• the clique is primarily a lifestyle and wellness publication for millennial/gen z women. Please consider if your pitch is too specific to your own experience and wouldn’t be relatable to anyone else, too specific to where you live, isn’t relevant to young women, etc.

• While SEO isn’t the ultimate factor in my decision-making, it is important. Please research (using Google Trends or other tools) whether your idea is even being searched online. If it’s something too dated or irrelevant, I don’t have the budget to publish it at this time.

• I am also seeing folks send a brief email introducing themselves without any pitch ideas, sending fully written attachments, or simply asking how/if they can write for the clique. Reading is fundamental, y’all! I will delete these emails because instructions were very clear.

• Finally, THANK YOU to everyone sending thoughtful, creative pitches! I’m so excited to work with many of you. At this point, though, I’m not physically capable of responding to every single person - if you don’t hear from me within a week, please assume I am passing. Thank you!
