Deadline: 31 August 2024
Patrick Lenton/Natalie Feliks, Editors at Nonsense, is looking for pitches:
We’re open for pitches again at Nonsense, but this time we’re looking only for trans femme writers! These pieces will be commissioned and edited by the excellent Natalie Feliks. It’s funny because Natalie and I have had this brewing for a while now, but the whole Pink News debacle has reaffirmed how important a part of our coverage at Nonsense this is. I think I detest transphobia from within the LGBTQIA+ community even more than from outside. Also I’m hoping to do more of these kinds of call-outs btw, to make sure all the letters are represented. I’m just one guy, so it’s important to me that I spread out my commissioning like this, because I’ll always have my own limitations and internal biases. Pitches should be no longer than three paragraphs! I just need the:
What: what you envision the article to be about
Why: why is it topical/relevant/ interesting/ suitable for Nonsense
Who: who you are and what your experience is/ why you’re the right voice for this topic
PITCH CALLOUT
