Mate Guarding

I was out doing some filming yesterday, doing a video on Male Sexual Market Value. I approached a woman who happily agreed to do the interview. She seemed very enthusiastic.

As we are about to start the video a man, considerably younger than her, came and sat behind her. I introduced myself and she introduced him to me. I explained what we were doing and asked if he wanted to be on camera. He nodded it was fine. I explained if he was going to be in the shot, I would be getting him to sign a YouTube release form at the end.

We do the interview, and he sort of stares at me with dead eyes through the whole thing. Nonetheless, I get some great footage and then present them both with my forms. He refuses to sign it. He seems pissed. She says, if he doesn't want to sign it then she won't either.

I try to patiently point out that I was concerned that this would happen which is why I explained it all at the start, so that if he was uncomfortable with it, to let me know now. He isn't phased. He escorts his partner away quickly. I wonder if he felt any remorse at unnecessarily wasting my time and battery...
