And we're back! Ori Magazine is open for pitches for our Spring edition: The Growth Issue. Award-winning print magazine for travelers. Columns $200, features $.50-$1/word. Our final deadline is December 5 and we'll be considering pitches on a rolling basis starting November 18. More information below:
ORI IS OPEN FOR PITCHES!
Ori is gearing up for its Spring 2025 Issue and is looking for your timeless stories and photography to fill our pages. We are officially open for pitches!
The theme of our issue is growth, and we are excited to explore this open-ended book with you. We are seeking all categories laid out in our pitching guidelines, and are particularly interested in regions around the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand this go around. Have a good story? Let us know!
We are looking for narrative-rich features that lean toward people instead of first person. Our magazine isn't here to tell you about traveling, it's about inspiring you to travel by teaching our readers something new. Want to see what we mean? Check out this snippet from a past Ori Creative Grant recipient about the women protecting West Papua's vibrant coastline.
In addition to regional coverage, we are looking for surprising travel essays and photo essays, ideas providing the kind of creative storytelling that sets Ori apart. In the past we have published humor pieces on German sauna etiquette, bioluminescence in South Africa, and the cultural history of eating on floors.
We will be accepting pitches for this issue on a rolling basis until December 5. Please send your pitches to kade@ori-mag.com. We are a small team and won't be able to respond to every pitch, so please be patient. Thank you again for telling your stories, and sharing them with our growing community.
