JOB DESCRIPTION
INKED Magazine seeks experienced freelance writers looking to put their stamp on the tattoo world by delivering high-quality, engaging, fact-focused content to the esteemed publication. This is a fully remote position.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Write in a third-person voice. While your opinion is valid, this is not the platform to share it. Your responsibility is to deliver the facts based on research and the information gathered during interviews. Fact-checking is a necessity, not optional.
You must write the article, not artificial intelligence. Period. If we find or suspect your content is created through AI, your services will no longer be needed. Besides, as an experienced writer, you don’t need AI to deliver engaging content.
We will assign you a topic, word count, and deadline, and we trust our writers to deliver on those expectations. Word counts generally range from 800-1,200 words.
All articles written by the freelance writer must be original content not to be shared with other publications unless specifically approved by INKED.
EXPERIENCE:
A history of writing for print magazines is highly desired. If you’re a content creator, we’re still looking at you, kid. However, we need to stress job requirement number one: write in a third-person voice.
A deep understanding of the Associated Press Stylebook’s guidelines.
Our topics are diverse and oftentimes cover well-known celebrities, experts, and influencers. While not required, familiarity with interviewing prominent figures is highly desirable.
COMPENSATION:
We pay 30 to 40 cents per word.
