Jordan Peterson mentions this study a lot. I would think this study shows the opposite of the social roles theory - that culture actually causes people to act against their nature, not define their nature. Force a women to be a women for survival, and she'll be a woman. Tell a woman to be a woman, but let her choose, and she'll choose to be a man. Let a women be a woman, and don't tell her either way, and she'll again choose to be a woman. We like being ourselves, but we don't like being forced to be ourselves.
