We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in securing funding for our programs through effective grant proposals. This position requires strong writing skills, an understanding of fundraising strategies, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to develop compelling proposals that align with our organizational goals.
DUTIES
Research and identify potential grant opportunities that align with the organization's mission and programs.
Write, edit, and proofread grant proposals, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to guidelines.
Develop budgets and financial reports to accompany grant applications.
Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information for proposal writing and program development.
Maintain accurate records of all grant submissions and funding sources in databases such as Raiser’s Edge.
Monitor grant deadlines and ensure timely submission of proposals and reports.
Assist in the development of fundraising strategies to support ongoing program needs.
Review contracts related to grants to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
EXPERIENCE
Proven experience in grant writing, with a strong portfolio of successful proposals.
Familiarity with budgeting processes related to grant applications.
Proficiency in using databases for tracking grants and fundraising efforts.
Excellent proofreading skills with attention to detail in written communication.
Experience in program development and the ability to articulate program goals effectively.
Knowledge of fundraising principles and practices is a plus.
