CALL FOR PITCHES + ISO writers for specific stories
Islamic Horizons is looking for Ramadan stories and education stories. Email me at bareerah.zafar@isna.net. Include a 3-5 sentence summary of your pitch + links to 2-3 work samples. U.S. and Canada only.
I’m looking for a Muslim woman to write about how abortion bans/lack of access to reproductive health care affects Muslim American women. If interested, please email me with the subject “Abortion Access Story” along with links to 2-3 samples of previously published work.
Also looking for a writer, Muslim or otherwise, to write about how undocumented Muslims are preparing for a second Trump term.
And finally, I’m looking for a writer to cover how incarcerated Muslims celebrate Ramadan behind bars and the unique challenges they face.
Rate is $0.20/word, with a maximum of 1,500 words. Again, this is open to U.S. and Canada-based writers only. The best way to reach me is through email.
Deadline: Any time in the next week or so would be great.
