Net at Work’s marketing department is seeking a skilled and experienced Freelance Web Content Auditor and Writer for a temporary, four-month position starting in the first week of January. This role offers an opportunity for a content writer with 3-5 years of experience who has participated in previous website content overhauls to work on a variety of web content projects and help conduct comprehensive content audits to improve our online presence.
POSITION DETAILS
Duration: Four months
Start Date: January 8
Hours: 40 hours per week (no overtime), 9 am to 6 pm EST
Must be located in the United States; Eastern, Central, or Mountain time zones
Pay Rate: $65 per hour
Freelance only (no agencies)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Help conduct a thorough content audit of our existing website to assess the quality, relevance, and performance of existing content (this will include creating and populating a content matrix)
Write engaging content for a website, blogs, and social media platforms
Analyze content performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations for improvements
Optimize content for search engines and user experience
Edit and proofread content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, English, communications, journalism, or related field
3-5 years of experience as a content writer and content auditor, having participated in previous website creation and/or revamps
Previous experience tracking and documenting website content changes, including populating and updating a detailed content matrix
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills as demonstrated by a portfolio of web content
Strong understanding of SEO best practices and content optimization techniques
3-5 years of experience entering content into websites; proficiency in WordPress
3-5 years working with project management software such as Jira, Monday.com, Asana, or similar
Experience with content auditing methodologies and tools
Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights
Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including designers, marketers, sales, developers, and others
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience writing for the technology sector
Knowledge of content marketing strategies and best practices
Experience with A/B testing and content optimization techniques
