We are looking for culture pitches and draft submissions that explore the recent election news. How are we moving forward and coming together to protect the vulnerable and create political possibility in a very dire and dark near-future?
Please email submissions@inthesetimes.com with "Culture Pitch" in the subject line. Send along your essays and Q&A ideas.
We consider submissions from writers of all backgrounds and are particularly excited to uplift immigrant, LGBTQ, Palestinian, Congolese, Sudanese, SWANA and other POC voices at this time.
Pay rate: $375-400 for short dispatches and op-eds. $0.50-$1 per word for other articles. Rates for comics, poetry and other visual pieces depend on format and length. We also pay for accompanying photos where appropriate.
