2020-01-19 09:19:54 +0000 UTCAlexander, I feel that the title of this post is misleading. Most of it is advice for parents on how to treat their kids re: sexuality. There’s very little advice for the person who grew up with sexual shame himself, except quickly mentioned at the end. I was expecting the focus to be on what to do—yourself—if you grew up with sexual shame. I did, and there wasn’t much advice beyond “go to therapy.” I don’t have kids, so the rest of the post was lost on me.

I have to say that one of the main reasons I am doing this is also because I feel quite lost at the moment and I would like to find a sense of purpose for myself outside of having an intimate relationship.
