Writing for the Web Instructor wanted | $1,350 per section

Ross Jahnke, Director of Professional Development Programs at the University of Minnesota, is looking for a writing instructor: 

The Writing for the Web Instructor is a temporary (per course), contractor position, for our Professional Development and Lifelong Learning Programs. Compensation is paid on a per course basis. The Writing for the Web Instructor will be responsible for developing and teaching the Writing Policies and Procedures course.

The Writing for the Web course is fully online and taught via synchronous instruction utilizing Zoom. Courses are 6 hours in total length, delivered half-days over two consecutive days. Exact dates and times are assigned by the University, but with flexibility provided for the instructor’s schedule.

The next scheduled section of this course is February 6-7, 2025 at 9am-12pm each of those days. While it is strongly preferred to keep this course as schedule, there is flexibility to reschedule if needed.

Instructors are responsible for developing their own curriculum that meets course outcomes, descriptions, and guidelines provided by the University of Minnesota. Instructors are expected to create engaging courses that use the best practices of adult education and online learning. This includes pursuit of the following pedagogical values:

Starting pay is $1350 per section.
