Added 2024-12-03 22:43:11 +0000 UTCCOMPANY/PUBLICATION: TORONTO STAR
Navneet Alang, Team Editor (Opinion) at Toronto Star, is looking for pitches:
I am always looking for interesting opinion pitches on almost any subject of interest to a Toronto Star audience. And if you have ideas for an essay, a Q&A, a reflective slice of life piece with a point of view, also get in touch. It's nalang@thestar.ca
Rates depend on the length and the piece. Toronto connection happens often but isn't mandatory - lots of provincial, national, and some international (mainly US) too.
CONFIDENTIAL NOTE: Reports indicate that Toronto Star pays 50 cents per word for opinion pieces. It is recommended that you discuss the rate(s) with the editor upon the acceptance of your pitch.
