I'm 29 and I still live with my mother and little sister. Believe me, I didn't want to be in the situation but my mother and I lost our jobs at the start of the pandemic and I had to use the money had saved up to move out to help pay rent.

I'm 18 and still living with parents, have I failed life?

I'm 23 and still live with my parents but here's the thing. 2020 made me realize that I'm no longer willing to be under the same roof as my parents. I'm currrently making plans to move out next year so that I can just, as you put it Alex, become a member of my society, no safety net, just me being responsible for my own life.

I live at home but pay rent, food, etc. I pay for everything myself. How would this apply to me? Rent is just cheaper..

I don't know if I can necessarily find this applicable to my life, as I come from a typical Italian family, where they'll essentially get offended if you ever suggest the idea of living on your own before getting married; even at the age of 28 like I am now lol. "What, something wrong with living with us? We bother you that much?" πŸ˜‚ I dunno, I mean I understand the growth that comes with living on my own, but that also comes with expenses. I feel inclined to believe that if I continue to live with my parents, and continue to work a full-time career job, it'll allow me to continue building my capital at very little cost. Additionally, I tend to date women of younger ages (19-22), and pretty much all of them live with their parents. Do any of you feel that me dating younger women that live with their parents will circumvent that "ooh you still live with your parents?" stigma, or do you think they'll still feel that discomfort simply because they'd expect a 28 year old like myself to be living on my own?

Certainly going and living by your own , will get you more dates with girls. However this does not guarantee, you re goig to meet high quality women/ super interesting people with whom establish a relationship.

If the guy (or girl) is still in school it’s really a non-issue. And to be honest, it can be fun and exciting to find places to hide and fool around when you’re still living with your parents. It does get old after a while though and if there is no progression toward independence (individually or with a partner) it would absolutely become an issue.
