Pitches wanted (contemporary art, literature) (worldwide) | €500 to develop pitch into zine

We are inviting pitches from artists and writers for digital zines. Four zines will be selected from this open call, published quarterly on the Mirror Lamp Press website throughout 2025. There are no thematic restrictions—our only requirement is that the zine be in a digital format (e.g., PDF, JPEG, EPUB, etc).

The zine’s content can encompass fiction, non-fiction, interviews, poetry, photography, illustrations, mixed media, or comics. For this open call, we are inviting submissions in a variety of stages; pitches can be for unmade work, to develop works in progress or unpublished zines. We are particularly interested in zines artists or writers who wish to collaborate on and develop further with the Mirror Lamp Press editors. As a project, Mirror Lamp Press aims to publish work on and around contemporary art and literature that is well-researched, thoughtful, surprising, playful, and experimental.

Please email info@mirrorlamppress.com with ZINE OPEN CALL in the subject line, along with the details of how you would like to respond, with some samples of your previous work and/or a link to your website.

The four selected artists will each receive €500 to develop their pitch into a zine, which will be published on the MLP website. The call is open to Irish and international writers and artists until 30 January 2025.
