Marcom is Apple’s Global Marketing Communications group. We oversee all of Apple’s advertising and marketing to ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications. Every day, millions of consumers around the world interact with Apple and its products through digital and in-store environments. We design strategies to provide customers a thoughtful, engaging and seamless experience.
Content strategy is concerned with how we plan, make, prioritize, connect and measure content. This includes everything from front-end content such as webpage images, videos, and copy, to back-end elements including site taxonomy and metadata. The Senior Content Strategist will act as a key partner for Interactive UX and Creative teams to continuously improve the customer experience. They will facilitate the Brand, Interactive, Retail and Cross-Functional working relationship to bring product and business strategies to life within Interactive deliverables.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
12-15 years experience in content strategy or related fields.
Deep understanding of content strategy including content models, hierarchy, formats, SEO, etc.
Experience with complex, long-term digital transformation initiatives in addition to short-term initiatives with clear scopes and hard deadlines.
Fluent in leveraging analytics and insights to inform content strategy, develop KPIs and measure performance.
Deep experience developing content strategy for .com and app environments (ex/landing pages, site journey mapping, distributing content across platforms and linking strategies, buy-flow optimization); comfortable working in the weeds.
Experience partnering with digital platform teams
Ability to interrogate briefs, understand the fundamentals of an ask and deliver a pressure-tested, clearly articulated position.
Experience working closely with UX and Creative teams to bring strategic objectives to life; experience working cross-functionally.
Proven leadership skills required to successfully advocate for work across diverse, cross-functional teams.
DESCRIPTION
Develop interactive content strategy, based on how content serves both customer and business needs. This includes both Apple and third party retail partners.
Craft and evolve deliverables such as content audits, content maps, content hierarchies and customer journeys.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to gain a deep understanding of business context, historical performance and market insights in order to position the work.
Support integration of content across .com pages and platforms to deliver comprehensive digital experiences.
Partner with internal teams to leverage existing content while assessing need for development of new content based on new opportunities.
Work cross-functionally to develop a shared understanding of success.
Work with teams to assess progress towards content goals, realigning as needed.
