We’re accepting pitches for Orion’s Fall 2025 issue Natural Rhythm: Tracing the ancestral roots of hip hop, guest edited by award-winning author and poet Hanif Abdurraqib.

Send us your pitches on the environments in which songs are conceived and recorded, the histories of beats, or anything else related to the ecology of the genre!

Please note that we are looking for nonfiction pitches, not full stories. Try to keep pitches to 500 words or so.
