I'm not sure about mentioning on the main YouTube video at the beginning that what they're about to see is a shortened version of what's on Patreon. I can definitely see why that would be useful for you and others but my fear is that knowing they are about to watch an inferior video, casual viewers on YouTube might click away. Sorry about that.

I've been frustrated when I'd watch a video on the main channel, then at the end you'd say a longer version was on Patreon, because I didn't want to have to watch the whole thing just to see the new parts, or to skip around to try to figure out where the new parts are. Giving us the advanced notice here helps to address the issue. If you can also say so at the beginning (not just the end) of the shorter videos, that would help for times when we're not watching or Patreon feeds closely.
