ABOUT COA ACCREDITATION
COA Accreditation, a service of Social Current, has been an independent, nonprofit international accreditor for the full continuum of community based behavioral health care and social service organizations for over 40 years.
Accreditation provides an independent and objective verification against standards of best practice.โฏOur staff and volunteer peer reviewers work closely with organizations to help them enhance and align practices with our standards. More than an evaluation, our process builds the knowledge and skills to engage in continuous improvement, adopt best practices, and achieve organizational excellence.
SCOPE OF WORK
The goal of this project is to develop COA Accreditation standards for public agency administration and management that will promote the effective and ethical delivery of social services in public agency systems. The selected contractor will be responsible for:
Research and Analysis
Investigating current best practices in public agency administration, focusing on areas such as program oversight, leadership development, community engagement, human resources, quality improvement, risk management, and regulatory compliance
Facilitation and Collaboration
Gathering insights by engaging with and facilitating discussions among subject matter experts (e.g., agency leaders, policymakers, front-line staff) to ensure the standards are practical, grounded in field realities, and aligned with current trends in the public sector
Development of Standards
Producing evidence-based, field-informed, and user-friendly standards that guide state agencies in effective administrative practices and ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery
Documentation
Maintaining comprehensive documentation of literature reviews, facilitated discussions with the field, and the standards writing process
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal contractor will have:
Demonstrated expertise in research and technical writing, with the ability to synthesize complex information from multiple sources into actionable guidance
Experience working within or supporting state agencies providing social services
In-depth knowledge of public agency operations, including regulatory frameworks, program administration, and service delivery models
Strong collaboration skills to effectively engage subject matter experts and synthesize diverse input into cohesive standards
Excellent organizational and project management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple deliverables
Proficiency with remote collaboration tools and maintaining organized documentation
CONTRACT DETAILS
Tentative dates of major milestones for this project:
Applications due: January 31, 2025
Selection of Contractor: February 14, 2025
Anticipated Commencement of Work: March 1, 2025
Final Deliverables Due: On or before December 31, 2025
RATE
$70 to $100 per hour based on experience, 50-60 hours per month.
